University Campus

I am very proud to be the Head of University Campus, and to have the opportunity to work with such an engaging and innovative team, dedicated to the unique learning needs of Year 9 students.

At University Campus we provide our students with authentic learning experiences, alongside a rich and varied curriculum complemented by dedicated university lectures specifically designed for our students and a range of co-curricular activities. Learning is further enhanced through community and international service programs designed to educate aspiring global citizens and enhance their confidence and skills to make a positive difference in their world.

In an Australian-first and through a long-term partnership with La Trobe University, we provide students with a year-long hybrid secondary school-university learning experience.

A dedicated Year 9 campus, University Campus is located on the outskirts of La Trobe University’s Melbourne campus in Macleod in newly renovated terraces. These terraces have been transformed into modern educational spaces designed specifically with the learning needs of Year 9 students in mind.

Year 9 students from Ivanhoe and Plenty campuses are relocated each year to University Campus to take advantage of this unique experience, which will challenge and inspire them, preparing them for Senior Years and beyond.

Year 9 is often spoken of as a year of unique challenges during this particular passage of adolescence, I see it as a year of unique opportunities for heightened learning arising from a spike of curiosity and a hunger for independence.

I look forward to working with my team to support these young people to be the best they can be, to stretch our students’ creative and critical thinking abilities, and to foster among them a culture of commitment to ethical behaviour and celebrating difference.
